Anyone up for a little Holiday Shopping?!?

So Shaylyn a few days before Thanksgiving texts me and says...Hey lets go shopping on Black Friday, and I was like um....are you crazy?! Haha anyway I saw an ad for $1.50 from Walmart and DVDs are kind of a weakness of mine so i decided that we could go...so 8' o clock thanksgiving night we get to walmart and stalk out all the goodies we want to get and slowly more and more people come and they start crowding in, even though I was one of the first peeps in front of the movies i got shoved to the back somehow...well I know how, its because i am really not a very aggressive person and just let people walk all over me...which mixed with black friday doesn't make for much success! Shaylyn and I had a game plan, she was gonna start with all the television series and I was gonna start with all the majorly cheap dvds and we were gonna work are way towards eachother in the midde...needless to say the plan although brilliant in theory, it didn't work when the clock struck 10 and it turned into complete and utter chaos! Brindy joined us right before the madness began and she freaked out once everyone went bat crap crazy, I was in the very middle of the mess getting thrown to and fro and Brindy was in the back of the crowd yelling for me to get out of there and telling me to take my scarf off, because she was afraid i was going to be strangled by CRAZED shoppers! hahaha it was the most fun I have EVER had shopping! Next black friday i might be a little more aggressive because now i feel like quite the pro! BRING IT ON BLACK FRIDAY 2012! haha but even though it was a mad house i think we all came out pretty good... i ended up with 22 new dvds! hahaha not bad, not bad at all! hahaha

i went SKYDIVING, rocky mountain climbing

So over the 24th of July my friends and I decided to jump out of a plane just for the fun of it, and let me tell you it was FUN! I would totally do it again! We went up to Ogden and they put us in our jumpsuits, put us on a little plane, strapped us to our instructer and then threw us out of a plane at 30,000 feet! Pretty exhilarating stuff if i do say so myself! While we were on the plane my instructer decided to make me the test dummy for the rest of the group and show exactly what was going to happen, so amongst my already panicking state he tossed me around the plane like a rag doll and what did i do? I just laughed uncontrollably! So you are suppose to walk to the edge of the door so only your heels are in the plane, put your goggles on, lean back as far as you can and then hurl yourself out of the plane! I did so good on all....except for one, i forgot to put my dang goggles on, so all the while i was hurling down towards the ground, i could barely see anything because the wind was rushing into my eyeballs! No worries though, i got them on eventually...after we had pulled the shute and i DIDN'T need them anymore! hahaha oh well what are you gonna do?! Anyway if you have ever thought about skydiving, I say DO IT! It was definitely the most adrenaline pumping thing I have ever done!

TORTIE TORTIE TORTIE!

This is what Sheldon will someday look like! Right now he is the size of the tiny one on the back of the medium sized one! hahaha I am so excited that he is going to be ginormous one day!


SO I guess I should tell you who Sheldon is...well he is MY VERY OWN pet TORTOISE! Let me tell you he is my favorite thing ever! I love him soooo much! He is just precious! He has the cutest lil legs you will ever see! I have a story to go with him... so my mom is not really a big fan of pets, period! She just is anti-pet for some reason, don't ask me why, i just think she is freaking crazy sometimes but oh well... anywho, my friends and I just stopped at a pet store randomly and I saw SHELDON! I have been wanting a tortoise for about 7 years now...ever since I had a vet tech class and my teacher had one that stayed in her garage! I always thought that was the coolest thing ever! So on a crazy whim i decided to get him, just one problem though...my mom would never allow me to have him, i mean she wouldn't even let me get a gold fish, so what did I do? I snuck him in! ;) Everything was going awesome I had him an entire month before my mom decided to put something away in my room and she found him! And that is when the crap hit the fan! She told me to move out! Over a teeny tiny tortoise that she didn't even know i had for an entire month! CRAZINESS i tell you! Anyway I had my pops and my sisters on my side so eventually things calmed down and I get to stay and so does SHELDON! YAY!

I named him Sheldon, not only because he has a shell but also because my favorite show is Big Bang Theory and Sheldon looks like Sheldon! I am absolutely in love with him! Which is a good thing because he will be around for a VERY long time! Im gonna have to put him in my will to my Children or grandchildren...if i ever have any...haha but he cost 100 smackaroos but i think that is a pretty sweet deal because it averages out to be 1 dollar a year of his life...not to shabby! I think he is the cutest thing ever and i am so excited that in a few years when he is bigger i will be able to put him on a leash and take him on walks around the hood! It is going to be fabulous, but right now i will just carry him around in my hoodie pocket!

Okay so this is a WAY OLD POST that i forgot to post but I liked remembering it so im gonna post it now!

So this past weekend was so incredibly fun! I absolutely loved it, and to think it started out with me thinking that i was gonna be a lonely loser once again this weekend but to my excitement I wasn't! So Friday night Linda and I hung out and we went to see Rio, which was so cute and funny! Hahaha there was this one part in the movie where the bird sings a song that says... "I poop on your head, and blame it on the seagulls....it was them!" hahahaha I was laughing so hard at that part, you'll just have to go see it to know what I am talking about! I also went and saw Water for Elephants this weekend, which was good. It was pretty comparable to the book and it really made me want a pet elephant... hmm, where do you suppose you can get one of those? Saturday while i was waiting for the night to begin, I was hanging out with Shaylyn in her room just talking about nothing when she wanted to text Caity randomly to tell her that she was good, so this is how that convo went...

Me: Wanna know the darndest thing?! I have had no brownies though!


hahahahaha Shaylyn and I were laughing so hard we couldn't breathe at this point! I love hanging out with her she makes me laugh so hard and I just can't get enough of it!








I went miniature golfing with Franklin, Zacharias, Jake the Snake and Shaylyn which was so much fun, I am so glad that she wanted to join in on the craziness that it was and guess what else?! I only came in last place the first time, and the second time we played I came in third! I even got a hole in one! woot woot, im moving on up! Then we went to Hollywood Harmons at got some food, the boys got microwave hot pockets whilst I got me some Ben and Jerry's Americone Dream Ice Cream! Yum, we just sat up in the neat little cafe area and ate our cares away! Oh and I also got a brand new camera which is so awesome because it is bright BLUE! Woohoo! I love fun colors on anything and everything, the brighter the color the happier it makes me!

Sunday was Easter and we had a dinner with my family, I love it when Shana, Rob, and McKaila are here it makes our house so much more chaotic and brings so much more excitement to our lovely abode! So I have been getting my whole family on a kick with BBT aka The Big Bang Theory, which I love because it gives us all something we enjoy and we all sit down and laugh together! Sheldon is my moms favorite character, Leonard is Brindys, and I am seriously in love with Raj Koothrapalli, haha there is just something about him that makes me swoon! maybe its the dark skin, or the accent, or maybe its his nerdiness but whatever it is I freaking LOVE him! hahaha anyway we all sat down and started watching it which lasted til midnight. McKaila was getting ready to leave so I asked for kisses and she gave me a nice slobbery kiss, and then she turned to Phil and gave him one too! hahah it was so funny and cute, I just love little kids because they do such funny things.

Fest ti VAL!

The Festival of Colors is one big mass of college students with a mix of high school kids and a few randoms. It is how the Indian Culture (as India Indians, not native americans) celebrate the coming of Spring! I love to celebrate Spring especially after a winter that seemed like it was forever long, and with a few straggling spring snow storms it still seems like Winter is here! BLAH! GO AWAY SNOW! I am ready for some outdoors, I love campfires and hiking in the summer, I don't think life can get much better than a few smores and your hair filled with the burning stench of last nights fire in the mountains. Anyway back to the festival, Kira, Phil and I were the only ones that ended up going, I drove and now my car is stained with pink and orange chalk! haha. It was Phils first time to the festival, and mine and Kira's 2nd time, we went last year together and had a blast! :) My mom told me that like 30,000 people went to the festival this year and man do I believe it! It was jammed pack! People were parking their cars like 5 miles down the road, but I was smart and kept driving thinking there will be a spot close to the temple and WABAM there was! WOOHOO! I am so smart sometimes, but other times I'll admit I can be somewhat of a dunce. Anyways look at our fun pics of the Festival!

LAMPSLIDE

So a few months ago I was watching this show design show on the telly and they had the most brilliant idea ever! A SLIDE LAMPSHADE! I mean how brilliant is that? What do you do with old slides except to throw them in a box and never see them again? What a fabulous way to recycle. While anyway my Aunt Gwen passed away a year back and we had all of her slides from her many travels....so brilliant person that I am, i took them and made quite an awesome lamp which was pretty easy...i mean it looks a little rough but it was my first attempt and I really didn't have any instructions, i just had to wing it. I think it turned out quite fabulous and it adds a nice little touch to my room!

ZUMBA ZUMBA ZUMBA!

So im pretty much the worst blogger ever! ha ha but im gonna try and blog lots more! Because its super duper fun! :) So Im gonna try something new tonight! ZUMBA! ha ha this should be interesting, im not a great dancer...in fact I only dance just to get a laugh or two out of the people around me, and Im sure that I will have those exact results tonight! I do hear that Zumba is extremely fun and a most excellent work out and hey maybe I'll even end up looking like a Victoria Secret model afterwords! Ha I wish! Brindy and I are gonna be gym rats for the next little while so we can get "Swimsuit" ready for summer! For some reason we always go super hardcore during the month of March...I guess we have an "OH CRAP" its almost summer moment and then we hit the gym hard! We have decided to start a whole month early this year and maybe that will make a difference....Maybe! Here's hoping I look like a VS model by summer! :) LOL
Okay, so i am back from Zumba and let me tell you it was a blast! ha ha I was laughing the whole time either at myself or at Brindy, it was so fun shaking my boo-tay! I will definitely be doing that again!
